The Powers of the Cloning Tool

My sisters 21st birthday was coming up and my parents wanted me to create something for her. Her present was a return ticket to anywhere in the world, so I decided to use an air ticket to represent this.

I got this ticket above off the internet, I then used the cloning tool in Photoshop. I got rid of the stuff I didn't want. I then used a font called "Travel Typewriter" to put the text on the product.

I really liked the way it turned out, I think it actually looks like a real ticket.

Keep Dancing to the Music

Hello, I was at my computer looking at all my junk and I found this from year 10. I know its a bit random, but its nice going back and seeing products you've made (even if they are a bit crappy).
I was really into illustrator, as you can see, its jam packed full of vector work.

Elton John Designs

I went to Elton John's concert a couple of years back in Sydney. I really love Elton, so I created a T-shirt design. I traced his album cover in Illustrator and coloured it in (vector art). So as seen below is a final design - it took heaps long and I had to change certain aspects of the original.
I used the text from another of his albums to place on the back of the shirt.
I went to the concert with my best friend and we had sooooo much fun!!! It was a great concert. Beneath is a picture of what the design looked like on my t-shirt.
This is an example of what you can do when you trace images in Illustrator. You can create all different designs using vector art.

xx :P

Circle Bohek Effect

I was trying to create an interesting background. I went onto Abduzeedo (www.abduzeedo.com) and found this interesting tutorial. I was able to create circles (using the brush tool) and duplicate them. I then put a gradient background on it. I really liked how it turned out, it is an interesting effect with the gradient.

fionahudsondesign banner

I really felt that my blog needed a more exciting banner. So I decided to create a speech bubble and fill it with stuff I like. I really like the Coca-Cola ads, so I wanted to use it as my inspiration. I made the bubble come out of my Coke bottles into the air.
I didn't like this design, as I thought it was a little complicated. I got a new coke bottle (just one), so it wasn't so cluttered. I then filled the speech bubble with all things that are important to me or that I really like or are inspiring to me. So as you can see I filled it up below.
As there is not a lot of room for the banner, I got rid of the coke bottle for the banner, but as you can see above, that is my final design.

Enjoy :P

Cloudy Night Streets

This is an interesting design I created. I got a picture of a road and placed some clouds on top of it. I then multiplied the clouds, so that it made this weird light effect. I then messed around with some techniques in photoshop to make it look cartoony :P

Boarders Dance 2009

Last year I was asked to design the invitation for a Boarders Dance. Criteria - short and sweet + clear. So I did just that. As shown in my 2009 image, I developed a font that looked similar (using the pen tool and shapes in illustrator, and the gradient tool). I put it on a black background to make it look more classy and the details beneath it.
I like to put things in situation, so it is more clear what the design will look like at the end. As shown beneath, I have photoshoped in my invitation, so it looks real.

2009

This is a project I made for 2009 Exhibition. It was meant to be clean and simple. I developed the typeface myself using numerous tools in Adobe Illustrator. I used a gradient throughout the text to make it more aesthetically pleasing and used a retro style font.
